Fantastic results from the Natural England visit on Monday! It was requested that they use Harrison Spinks Farm as their 'flag-ship'. We could not be more delighted. Through carefully following their guidelines with more than a generous sprinkling of Gary and Richards' own specialist knowledge, improvisations, ideas and improvements it seems the farm has surpassed all expectations. The environments created have brought a huge amount of rare and beautiful wild life flooding back to their assisted natural dwelling. Plant, animal and bird alike were identified with excitement and anticipation. Among which were; the corn-bunting, the yellow hammer, curlews, oyster-catchers, various song birds and a brood of lapwings.
The grass margins have been carefully maintained and now ancient and rare breeds of wild flower are slowly raising their heads to the sun. Twenty welcome trainees came to the training day which was enjoyed by all. Richard, Gary and Liam are to be congratulated for all their creativity, knowledge and commitment to the project. Simon says he'll buy you all dinner.......but is out of the country for the next few.......!!!
